I remember when Lansford was lined with wonderful shops and Bright’s department store was decorated for Christmas with Christmas music playing and the Santa mail box outside. I remember the Rialto restaurant where I would get to have lunch with my father. I remember George and Sue’s where all the teens hung out drinking Vanilla Cokes, eating cheeseburgers and listening to the latest music from Motown, the Beatles, and the Stones (just to name a few). I remember the Palace theatre where I first saw A Hard Day’s Night and screamed every time I saw Paul on the screen. I also remember the hobby horse at Endicott Johnson’s shoe store and Ridge Center, where we could go and listen to records before we bought them. So many wonderful memories of Lansford!
