An unnamed man was life-flighted to an area hospital after sustaining severe injuries from being bitten by dogs belonging to the victim.
In a release posted to social media, White Haven police detail their response to the May 13 incident, which occurred that evening in the area of the Susquehanna Street neighborhood. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, and the victim was later life-flighted to a local hospital.
Police said that the dogs involved have been secured and that there is no immediate danger to the public at this time.
In the release, police state they are aware of community concerns regarding prior biting incidents and are currently working with the dog warden for an appropriate resolution. Residents are urged to call 911 or trained personnel if a loose dog is spotted and not to approach it.
The incident remains under investigation.
