Pennsylvania State Police of the Hazleton Barracks announced the results of a sobriety checkpoint that was conducted over the holiday weekend from July 2 to July 5 in Carbon and Luzerne Counties.

State Police report:

  • 51 traffic citations were issued.
  • Seven written warnings for Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
  • One motorist was arrested for operating a vehicle without the required ignition interlock device. 
  • Three motorists were interviewed but released after passing standardized field sobriety testing.
